What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Technician position at Zoomers RV of Indiana?
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on RVs, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with RVs and recommend appropriate repairs
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure RVs are in safe and working condition
- Install and repair RV accessories, such as awnings, slide-outs, and appliances
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an RV technician or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair various systems in RVs
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Knowledge of air brake systems is a plus
- Proficiency in welding, auto body repair, and vehicle assembly is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and find effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repairs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
