Zoox's accounting team plays a pivotal role in ensuring Zoox operates efficiently and sustainably by providing accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic insights.
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to play a crucial role in managing accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Working closely with the FP&A team to ensure accurate accruals and capitalization. This person is responsible for activities related to the general ledger, month-end close, and annual financial audit. The successful candidate will be dedicated, trustworthy, detail-oriented and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
In this role, you will :
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weekly
- Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Assist team with annual audit and tax filings
- Conduct regular general ledger maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to insure accuracy in accruals
- Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes

There are three major components to compensation for this position : base pay, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $171,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The pay range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
