As an Electrical Engineer on our Infotainment and Connectivity Hardware team, you will own the development of some of the key human-machine interfaces (HMI) our riders use to interact with our robot / vehicle. This includes hardware for user authentication, ingress access, communication, and cabin / occupant monitoring. In this highly cross-functional role, you will need to develop requirements, solve challenging design problems, create and test prototypes, and coordinate projects to meet critical company milestones.
In this role, you will :
- Specify electrical component and system requirements and lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers.
- Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.
- Collaborate with hardware design teams, firmware and software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis during the development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution.
- Support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.
- Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities.

Compensation and Benefits
There are three major components to compensation for this position : salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $186,000 to $241,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
