Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our communication initiatives and drive engagement with our Wisconsin-based membership. Communications focus on member engagement, activity promotion, public awareness, and brand enhancement. Creating, curating, and disseminating content across various channels requires a strong background in content creation, digital marketing, and graphic design with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging content for various communication channels including social media, website, electronic newsletters, and email communications to promote club and unit activities, events, and initiatives.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines across all communication materials to enhance brand identity and promote public awareness of our organization.
- Graphic Design: Utilize graphic design skills to create visually compelling assets including graphics, coupons, flyers, and promotional materials to support marketing and communication efforts.
- Zor Zephyr Magazine Co-Editor: Serve as an editor of our monthly publication, Zor Zephyr Magazine, by organizing submitted articles, coordinating content creation, and overseeing the production process to ensure high-quality publication.
- Social Media Management: Manage and maintain our social media accounts, including content creation, posting schedules, engagement strategies, and performance tracking to increase followership and engagement.
- Website Management: Oversee the design and maintenance of our organization's website to ensure accuracy, relevance, and user-friendliness, including content creation, optimization, and SEO strategies.
- Electronic Communications: Coordinate and execute electronic communication strategies including newsletters, calendar, announcements, and updates to keep members informed and the public engaged.
- CRM System Management: Administration of CRM system to maintain member database, track communication efforts, and analyze member engagement metrics to inform future strategies.
- Vendor/Partner Management: Coordinate and interface with vendors and other partners in support of efficient and effective systems, processes, and solutions.
- Networking/Customer Service: Build and maintain strong positive relationships with members and ensure all interactions reflect and uphold the organization’s brand and mission.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3 years) in marketing, communications, or content management roles, with a focus on digital marketing and content creation.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, lnDesign).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and
- social media management tools.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and database management.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts to engage a diverse audience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and
- meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a nonprofit or fraternal organization.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Previous experience in magazine editing or publishing.
- Ability to engage AI for efficiency.
- Understanding of analytics tools and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts.
