Job Summary:

The Production Planner Coordinator plays a key role in managing production schedules, coordinating with multiple departments, and resolving immediate production issues. This position requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service and facilitate effective communication between departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Production Planner Coordinator is expected to perform one or more of the following essential job functions based on the business assignment (detailed):

· Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and operational capacity.

· Act as a liaison between production, procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

· Monitor production progress and resolve immediate scheduling conflicts or material shortages.

· Support customer service by addressing production schedules and order status inquiries.

· Analyze production data and prepare reports to support continuous improvement efforts.

· Ensure accurate documentation of production plans, work orders, and inventory transactions.

· Participate in problem resolution by identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements.

· Assist in tracking key performance metrics and ensuring compliance with company policies.

· Coordinate inbound and outbound truck dispatching, scheduling dock appointments for pickups and deliveries.

· Communicate with truck drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes.

· Resolve issues that arise during inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring minimal disruptions to production and supply chain operations.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities / Qualifications:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret production data.

· Customer service skills to address internal and external inquiries.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

· Associate’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge in production planning, scheduling, or related roles will be considered in place of a formal degree.

· 1-3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role.

· Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.

· Experience in logistics, trucking dispatch, or warehouse coordination is desired.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, as well as prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer for long time.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; some areas of the manufacturing location could be extremely cold or hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high; some areas require noise protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
