Job Summary:
The Warehouse Clerk position is responsible for keeping the warehouse organized by keeping the warehouse clean; receiving all plant visitors, checking in and out trucks; Prints Picking Tickets and Bills of Lading, and generally handling all duties associated with the reception of people and goods in any ZoRoCo Packaging Facility, The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for updating the warehouse computer system and registers all the incoming shipments paperwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Clerk is expected to perform one or more of the following essential job functions based on the business assignment (detailed):
· Responsible party in supporting the food safety culture of the company.
· Ensure the shipping department is following health and safety standards.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and injury-free environment by ensuring all employees and visitors understand and execute safety, fire, and risk procedures.
· Check in and check out all over-the-road truck drivers.
· Respond to any email correspondence relating to logistics and schedule appointments.
- Check in and check out any visitors to the facility, and contact the responsible party to lead the visitor out on the floor.
- Scan and file all relevant logistics documentation (BOLs, Receiving, etc.)
· Order any relevant office supplies.
- Call for compactor and/or large dumpsters to be dumped.
· Primary welcome point person for the plant. Answering calls and directing calls to others is a daily task in this role.
· Record all received items in the computer system.
· Data entry into ZoRoCo Packaging ERP system.
· Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy, reports, and returns defective items.
May be assigned one or more of the following as needed:
· Issuing purchase orders through the company CMMS system.
· Management of the ZoRoCo Packaging guest book for audit purposes.
· Main point person for all vending machine suppliers. Periodically may need to review the performance of these suppliers.
· Participate in safety projects and on safety committees.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities / Qualifications:
· Strong commitment to human safety and food safety.
· Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
· Ability to lift/move materials up to 50 lbs. regularly.
· Must also be able to stand and walk while working extended hours.
· The environment will include outdoor work exposed to year-round weather conditions.
· Proficient with inventory control systems.
· Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Previous experience working in logistics preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to meet this position’s goals while fostering a positive work environment.
· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; some areas of the manufacturing location could be extremely cold or hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high; some areas require noise protection

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
