Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in firewall management, OSPF/BGP routing protocols, network troubleshooting, and Fortinet tunnel configuration. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network solutions to protect our organization's data and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Configure and manage firewalls from various vendors, with a strong emphasis on Fortinet products.
- Configure and troubleshoot OSPF and BGP routing protocols to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Perform advanced network troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex network issues.
- Configure and manage Fortinet tunnels, including IPsec and SSL VPNs.
- Monitor network security systems and respond to security incidents and alerts.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network security solutions.
- Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Stay up to date with the latest network security trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering.
- Strong experience with firewall configuration and management, particularly with Fortinet products.
- In-depth knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
- Proven experience in network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet tunnel configuration, including IPsec and SSL VPNs.
- Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
