Position Summary – Assembly Taper
Responsible for the daily processing of products including taping, placing of reinforcements, placement of various hardware, and folding of materials necessary for maintaining production flow. Assembly Tapers are responsible for maintaining a clutter free work area. Reports to the Department Supervisor and may also receive direction from other Production Supervisors or Line Leads. Assembly Tapers provide an essential function to the overall ability of Zpacks to maximize production and efficiency.
Job Duties
- Verify work order item descriptions match
- Applies waterproofing tape to backpacks without wrinkles or gaps
- Insert stays into backpacks
- Assemble/tape to production and quality standards
Skills
- Able to move between tasks quickly and accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication both verbal and written
- Organizational skills
- Ability to take direction while working independently
- Maintain safe work environment and follow safety procedures and policies
Physical Demands
- Stand for long periods of time
- Bending/Lifting up to 25 pounds
Experience
- 6 months related experience within manufacturing industry preferred
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
