Visual Media Specialist - Position Summary
In charge of creating and editing company videography and photography in accordance with brand and collateral guidelines. This includes being responsible for all preproduction, coordination, and execution of collateral shoots. The position also includes being in charge of equipment setup, testing, lighting, and direction. This role reports directly to the Marketing Director.
Job Duties
- Operate motion picture and/or still cameras to capture people, merchandise, landscapes or other subjects for use in the creation of advertising collateral.
- Compose and frame each shot, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses, film, filters, and camera settings to achieve the effects outlined in brand and collateral guidelines.
- Create artificial light, using flashes and reflectors.
- Determine desired video, images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.
- Transfer media to computers for editing, archiving, and electronic transmission.
- Edit and enhance content with applicable software.
- Color grade video and photos to match desired company aesthetic.
- Maintain an equipment cleaning schedule.
- Assist with other marketing duties as needed.
- Ensures work areas are clean and safe for all personnel.
Physical Demands
- Stand/Sit/Walk/Hike for long periods of time.
- Bending/Lifting is repetitive and must follow proper lifting techniques as outlined in Zpacks Safety Policy.
- Hands and arms will be in various positions for equipment set up and break down.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Zpacks products.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to take direction while working independently.
- Familiar with basic computer functionality, databases and MS Office products.
- Familiar with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication both verbal and written.

Experience
- High School/GED, required
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in a related field, preferred
- 2 years of practical videography and photography experience
Other Requirements
- MUST be able to start shift daily no later than 8:30am/5 days a week with a minimum of 40 hours per week equally distributed
- Flexibility in schedule based on business need
- Ability to periodically work required hours that fall outside of normal working hours
- Travel 10%-15%
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Other duties as assigned
