Plumbing Apprentice Technician

Z PLUMBERZ feels like this is a very important time in your Plumbing career, as you prepare to take your Journeyman Test and move closer to the Journeyman Technician Position!
Service Technicians at this point will have learned the key essentials to Diagnosing and repairing essential plumbing service calls.
Service Technicians in this role are now eligible to operate Plumbing Calls that do not require a Licensed Journeyman Plumber to complete.

- Working with our Master and Journeyman plumbers showing you the skills needed to complete your journeyman test
- Obtain an active Apprentice Registration License (if you don't already have)
- Training and Completion of Z PLUMBERZ Sewer and Drain Specialist Certification
- Training, Completion and Execution of Z PLUMBERZ Image System and Sales Training
- Training and completing tasks per Z PLUMBERZ Technician Training Manual
- Workshop training and On going training of advanced plumbing service and drain tasks in our state of the art training facility.
- Execution of majority of plumbing, sewer and drain tasks not requiring a Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent, in your own issued ZPLUMBERZ work Van!
Job Duties
Participates in maintenance, repair and installation duties in normal operations
Possess and operates hand tools, power tools and equipment relevant to the selected trade
Performs manual Labor associated with the trade
Maintains and cleans assigned truck.
Cleans and maintains tools and equipment assigned to the vehicle
Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common in trade
Knowledge of Plumbing codes, standards and regulations
Skilled in installation, repair and maintenance of all systems and assignments common to the trade
Skilled in estimating time and material for project work
Skilled in both verbal and written communication
Knowledge of training practices and techniques
Ability to estimate residential CIPP and Excavating jobs (Not required we will train on this)
Salary Range and Status
$15.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Positions are hourly, full time and benefit eligible.. Hourly rates determined based on experience, seniority, qualifications and attitude
Working Conditions
A 40 hour week is typical. Position may require additional hours during unusual or unforeseen circumstances
At the General Manager’s discretion daily hours will vary with business requirements
Work is mainly outside/warehouse with times where inclement weather and temperature extremes may be required
Educational & Additional Requirements
GED or High School Diploma
Drug/Alcohol, background and motor vehicle testing
Drug/Alcohol, DMV and background checks are performed prior to employment and at random times, without advance notice, during employment
Working Relations
Service Technician reports to Field Supervisor(s) or escalates to General Manager. Will also take direction from trades-person while being supervised
Salary : $20 - $26
