BSP Developer for Radio Products
Location: Warren, New Jersey
About the Role
As a BSP developer, you will join Airspan’s dynamic and highly experienced team, working to expand our capabilities in developing software for radio base stations that support multiple radio access technologies, including 5G, 4G/LTE, and GSM.
Airspan’s hardware portfolio is built for scalability and reliability, with over 50,000 5G radios and 700,000 4G radios deployed in live networks worldwide. Our solutions meet the demands of public and private networks with unmatched efficiency and performance, spanning dense urban deployments and expansive industrial applications. With proven success in Open RAN interoperability and conformance testing, Airspan continues to innovate and deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain board support packages & HW drivers as per the hardware design and platform architecture
- Work with hardware teams on initial bring-up testing
- Perform statistical analysis of issues & participate in debug sessions
- Perform troubleshooting to determine and fix the root cause of performance issues and test failures
- Drive continuous improvements of processes and product quality
- Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering in an accredited institution.
- Hands-on expertise with large-scale embedded software projects
- Proven experience of developing and maintaining board support packages for embedded products, preferably related to radio.
- Proven experience working with yocto Linux: modifying existing recipes and adding new recipes into the build.
- Ability to write and maintain software code using C . Experience with maintaining embedded build infrastructure & CI/CD will be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
