SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to oversee the security of our information systems, ensuring all security requirements are met and the systems are properly configured and protected.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and oversee compliance and policy aspects related to Information Assurance for systems and networks handling government information.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Defense Security Service (DSS) Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Tool.
- Collaborate with the Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) and corporate leadership to maintain cyber and physical security standards.
- Act as the ISSM for classified computers in DoD and Intelligence Community environments.
- Oversee day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring of Information Systems, including security event log analysis.
- Ensure compliance with government policies regarding system security measures, and manage configuration effectively.
- Maintain a robust understanding of NIST 800-53 controls, documenting implementations in the Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM).
- Conduct technical inspections to identify and address potential security weaknesses in systems.
- Monitor and manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to mitigate vulnerabilities in assigned Information Systems.
- Review and maintain comprehensive security assessment and authorization documentation.
- Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
