Heat Tracing Sales Engineer
The Heat Tracing Sales division specializes in the sale and application of heating cables in the commercial construction industry.
Thermal Devices Inc. (TD) is a growing industrial distributor that specializes in the sale and application of industrial process heaters and process control equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell mechanical and electrical devices in a consultative selling environment.
- Manage preconstruction bids.
- Utilize PlanSwift software for project estimation.
- Manage customer technical support calls.
- Oversee projects from preconstruction to material release and project closeout.
- Train customers on proper installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Create detailed project-specific submittals and installation drawing mark-ups.
- Employ factory software and design information to calculate heat losses, electrical characteristics, and ensure product suitability.
- Assist engineers and architects in designing heat tracing plans & specifications.
Requirements:
- Experience in construction sales, project management, or estimating.
- A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering.
- Experience with take-off/project estimating software is preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM software; ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills.
- The ability to travel minimally as necessary.
- Willingness to work onsite.
