What We Want :

We're scaling our Engineering team with the addition of a full-stack Lead Engineer to spearhead the migration and development of consumer-facing, high-traffic products from scratch.

Responsibilities :

  • Contribute heavily to the transition from the existing LAMP stack to a modern tech stack on Google Cloud, utilizing Node.js, Vue.js, Google Cloud SQL, and other Google Cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, QA, and operations teams to prioritize and define engineering tasks.
  • Design, develop, prototype, and test new products and technologies.
  • Contribute heavily and advise on full product development lifecycle from conception through to launch.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, enhancing product performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to shaping the technical roadmap and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to refine our engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure solutions meet our high standards.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in CS or related - 6-8 years experience - Contributes heavily or leads complex full stack projects - System design - Mentorship - Advanced problem-solving in both front and back-end

  • Education : Minimum - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience : At least 6 years experience of hands-on experience leading and driving full stack projects.
  • Experience designing systems, mentoring others, and developing scalable, cloud-based software solutions with rich user interfaces across various browsers and devices ( Front End AND Back End ).
  • Technical Skills :
  • Expertise in full-stack development with Vue.js, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and microservices architecture.
  • Solid experience with PHP applications, particularly in migration contexts.
  • Proficient with Git and familiar with GitHub workflows.
  • Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of both MySQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven track record in implementing automated testing within a CI / CD pipeline.
  • Attributes :
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code backed by automated tests.
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and tools.
  • Communication : Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
