We’re looking for an experienced Atlassian Support Engineer to join our Engineering Effectiveness Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Atlassian suite of tools, including Jira, Confluence, and related applications, to ensure their reliability, security, and effective utilization across the organization. This role is onsite in Bellevue, WA, or San Jose, CA, and follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week in the office. The role requires flexibility for meetings 2–3 times a week in the morning (7–9 AM PST) and evening (8–10 PM PST) to collaborate with teams in India. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Effectiveness, you will:
- Administer and maintain Jira and Confluence Data Center, including managing workflows, user permissions, dashboards, and plugins/add-ons. Serve as Tier 1 and 2 support for troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
- Monitor and enhance the performance, security, and availability of Atlassian applications in compliance with FedRAMP-certified environment requirements.
- Develop and implement automated workflows and integrations between Jira and DevSecOps tools, including BitBucket and Bamboo, using scripting languages like Python or Groovy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, configure solutions, and ensure the Atlassian tools align with team needs.
- Create and maintain best practices, guidelines, and user documentation for Atlassian tools while providing training and ongoing support to enhance user proficiency.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications):
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of assigned customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience administering Jira and Confluence Data Center, including managing configurations, workflows, and permissions.
- Experience with FedRAMP-certified environments and scripting languages like Python or Groovy for tool automation and integrations.
- Strong proficiency in customizing Atlassian tools to align with business and technical needs.
