Zscaler is seeking a Privacy Counsel/Privacy Specialist to join its growing Legal team. In this position, you’ll support the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Zscaler’s privacy compliance program (along with other Zscaler internal teams). You’ll also assist with drafting a variety of commercial agreements relating to Zscaler’s SaaS products with global customers and partners.

This position can be based hybrid in our San Jose office or Remote US. In this role, you will:
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy, data protection, and related AI issues, addressing questions from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide practical, business-focused guidance on data privacy, data protection, and AI-related compliance matters.
- Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with customers and vendors, and advise legal team members on managing privacy, data protection, and AI-related issues in customer and vendor engagements.
- Stay up to date with global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- J.D. or equivalent international degree.
- 3 years of privacy, data protection, and AI compliance experience.
- Experience with global privacy laws, including applicable US and EU regulations.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or other related certifications.
- Experience as part of in-house privacy compliance team.
- Working knowledge of technology platforms and data flows, including cloud and mobile devices.
