We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is a remote position. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, you will:
- Develop and manage shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments.
- Improve security of CI/CD systems and automate change management processes.
- Define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team.
- Automate the build-out of new Zscaler clouds and create delivery mechanisms for operational collateral.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.
- 5 years of experience in commercial services development and working with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible and skilled in programming languages such as Go.
- Expertise in designing, analyzing, and resolving issues in large-scale distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or an equivalent field.
- Experience with High/Moderate FedRamp authorization levels (IL5/IL6 is a plus).
- Experience in continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patching, and reporting.
- Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and both relational and non-relational databases for microservices.
