About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Scheduler / Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining inventory levels for our racks and servers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, planning, and scheduling, a track record of using Excel for data analysis, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Production SchedulingDevelop and maintain a comprehensive production schedule based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity for racks and serversCollaborate with the production team to create realistic timelines for manufacturing processesProficient in the subject matter of scheduling racks and servers in a cross-functional role
- Inventory ManagementMonitor and manage optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stockCoordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials for productionImplement efficient inventory control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Data AnalysisUtilize Excel and other tools to analyze production data, identify trends, generate reports for management review, and make data-driven decisionsProvide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on data analysisGenerate regular reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics and areas of improvement
- Supply / Demand ForecastingAnalyze historical data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecastsWork closely with Procurement and Customer Operations teams to understand customer demand and product requirements
- CommunicationParticipate in regular meetings to provide updates on production schedules and address any potential issuesCoordinate with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless workflow and timely deliveryCommunicate production schedules and changes effectively to all relevant stakeholders
- Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the production and planning processesImplement best practices to optimize resource utilization and reduce lead times
- Quality AssuranceEnsure that production schedules align with quality standards and compliance requirementsCollaborate with the quality control team to address any production issues affecting product quality or delivery timelines
