About the role :
The IPQC3 Supervisor oversees multiple leads and their teams, monitoring that all final quality inspections are completed in accordance with company standards and specifications. The supervisor coordinates tasks, allocates resources, and provides their team guidance, instruction, and direction, often serving as a first point of contact for employees' work-related issues. This role is critical in maintaining workflow, managing resources, and ensuring the team’s efforts align with the company’s goals.
What You Will Do
The candidate will manage multiple tasks, with different teams and priorities, following directions from MFG Quality managers and engineers. Must be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently, under minimal supervision. The supervisor will offer constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members, fostering professional development and improving team performance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Ensure that team members adhere to the inspection process and consistently follow the SOP and product specifications.
- Monitor / participate in daily “Take 5” meetings.
- Review the daily schedule and generate reports at the beginning, mid, and end of the shift to ensure the team is on track to complete the schedule on time and make corrections in case expectations are not being met.
- Allocate staff resources according to the schedule.
- Ensure team members have the required tools and equipment for their tasks.
- Plan for overtime based on required support for shipment priorities and obtain management approval via email.
- Provide an inspection status snapshot at the end of the shift, including topics like total inspection completed, pending inspections and top issues found.
- Monitor team members’ performance and identify training and coaching needs.
- Review inspection times and work with the team for opportunities of improvement.
- Monitor certification status and training progress of team members and provide authorization to perform inspections independently.
- Identify and review most common quality issues and collaborate with other teams to investigate non-conformities and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
- Review SOPs and report any inconsistency to the manufacturing engineering team.
- Ensure inspection records are properly maintained as evidence for root cause investigations and customer claims.
- Monitor workstations for potential hazards and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Oversee 6S audits performed by team leads, ensuring necessary actions are taken for any required corrections.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately and participate in investigations to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
