What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rack Integration Technician position at ZT Systems?
About The Role
The Rack Integration Technician will be responsible for the assembly and integration of rack-mounted hardware. This role covers various deliverables related to non-production and pre-production rack builds that are part of the product development process, as well as supporting the transition of racks into the Manufacturing environment for mass production.
What You’ll Do
Take direction from Rack Integration Engineers in the assembly, assessment, and optimization of Fully integrated Computer Racks
Serve as the focal point for various non-production rack builds, included engineering test and evaluation units, verification and compliance test racks, early customer samples, scale test systems, etc.
Assemble First Article Customer Racks in accordance with specifications and perform the associated tests to verify and document that all customer requirements are satisfied.
Provide feedback to the Rack Integration Engineering Team as necessary such that rack build are of the highest quality and meet / exceed customer expectations.
Provide direction to the Production teams so that findings from the pre-production builds are implemented into Manufacturing practices for mass production
What You bring
High School Diploma or GED required
Possess the mechanical and technical aptitudes needed to assemble, cable, connect, label, and integrate of computer hardware into IT Racks
Ability to understand and follow directions as identified in Technical Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Bills of Materials (BoMs), etc.
Good communication skills are a must. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are a plus.
Being a good team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are keys to success
