Job Description :

As a Test Automation / QA lead you will have the opportunity to lead and coach a team of test automation engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that align with the company's strategic plan.

This individual will collaborate with technology and business stakeholders, identify impediments, manage risks, and drive continuous improvements while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of testing practices and test automation improvements in SDLC to ensure product quality.

Test Strategy and Planning :

Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.

Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success.

Coordinate with project managers and development teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

Test Execution and Management :

Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests.

Ensure thorough regression testing is conducted to maintain software quality.

Manage test environments and ensure they are properly configured.

Develop, execute, and maintain regression test cases to validate new and existing functionalities.

Identify, document, and report software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.

Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure system integrity after code changes.

Automation and Tools :

Lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using Selenium and Python.

Identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage and efficiency.

Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines.

Implement and optimize automated regression testing using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.

Team Leadership :

Mentor and guide a team of testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Manage test automation engineers in their day-to-day activities, code reviews, and skills ramp-up

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.

Quality Assurance :

Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insights to improve software quality.

Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards and best practices.

Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.

Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve issues promptly.

Retail Sector Focus :

Apply domain knowledge of the retail industry to ensure relevant and effective testing.

Understand retail-specific requirements and challenges to tailor testing approaches.

Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.

Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit,

Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps testing environments.

Proficient with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps is a plus.

Proficient in performance testing and load testing tools like JMeter.

Proficient in scripting languages such as Python for test automation

Proficient with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.

Proficient in developing python test automation frameworks for Web and Mobile platforms

Java, or JavaScript for test automation
