Job Role: Database Administrator
Work location: Greenville, SC Job Description:
- Provide technology leadership for maintaining and optimizing PLM DB environment.
- Performance tuning on very highly transactional database
- Serve as the DBA project lead for all DBA infrastructure tasks related to PLM program / project.
- Design, manage and administer both development and production Oracle application databases on clustered and non-clustered systems.
- Work closely with PLM (ENOVIA) application team to perform upgrades and refreshes of databases.
- Manages daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project execution teams in order to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, as-requested by Power Technology Customer. Familiarity with all ITIL processes.
- Follow Oracle/PostgreSQL best practice recommendations.
- Experience with automation/scripting.
- Active daily monitoring of the server and DB, using heath check reports and tools such as OEM/PEM, ADDM, AWRRPT, Server Stats, DML Log report, etc. Identify possible issues and/or fine-tuning opportunities.
- Ensure that proper root cause analysis is completed on all Database Problem tickets and that solutions are implemented across the enterprise infrastructure.
- Writing and troubleshooting SQL, PL/SQL code.
- Develop clear SOP for all repeatable processes.
- Work on new Oracle technologies POC as per team leader's direction.
- Work with HA options available with Oracle.
- Ensures appropriate linkages with applications to other data processing systems.
