Role: Lab Technician/Manager/Engineer - Lab maintenance and inventory management
Work location: San Diego, CA
Job Description:
- Ensure the equipment is in good working condition and operates safely. Accountable for new inflow, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and upgrading lab equipment.
- Maintains inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and prepares periodic inventory reports and requisitions as needed.
- Ensure availability, Issues, and receive materials and equipment for stakeholders, keep records, and effect the return of supplies and equipment checked out to stakeholders.
- Working with Vendors for upkeep and availability of the equipment for the stakeholders
- Conducts physical inventory tracking.
- Executing audits/services/maintenance of Lab equipment and Infrastructure
Key Qualifications:
-Successful candidates will have these skills, knowledge, and experiences:
Technical:
- Previous experience in managing Labs that contain both Electronics and Mechanical Equipment
- Familiarity with electronic parts, common test equipment, supplies, and hand tools used in lab work.
- Working in a dynamic requirements space to cater to stakeholders, Flexibility in working across the lab responsibilities.
- Safety standards related to the preparation of materials and use of lab equipment.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and OSHA standards, and participate in audits.
- Knowledge of Electromechanical systems, software, and hardware
- Inventory tracking and recordkeeping procedures
- Familiar procedures of Maintaining Labs, such as Equipment Life cycle management
Project Skills:
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong relationship building, teamwork, and peer influencing skills.
- Clear ability to self-manage priorities and work deliverables.
- Flexible, adaptable mindset. Able to manage multiple fixture designs simultaneously.
