Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for servicing customers by installing windows and doors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Perform warranty and service work on various windows lines for all of ZBP locations
- Maintaining rapport with customers and team members by examining complaints and identifying solutions in the windows departments as well as assisting with questions regarding window, doors and parts
- Document service and installations actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records
- Perform the jambing and mulling of windows and doors
- Assist in the ordering and gathering components and parts for service work
- Screen and hardware installs along with service walk through for various windows lines
- Assist with showroom updates at all locations
- Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities for windows and door lines
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have 3 years of experience in the building materials industry or finish trade or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience
- Requires working knowledge of power tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 100 pounds occasionally. Physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving of your whole body to handle, install and position material
