Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a our Restaurant/minimarket. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining stock levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong cash handling skills, a good understanding of retail sales, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Duties
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries.
- Process sales through the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Stock shelves and ensure product displays are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom.
- Exhibit phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cash handling or retail sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Proficient in using cash registers and POS systems.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Must be able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
