What are the responsibilities and job description for the Router / Trip Coordinator position at Zūm?

\n- Manage field trip and charter business orders via email or phone, providing accurate pricing information and ensuring thorough record-keeping.
- Plan and optimize bus routes for daily operations, field trips, and charters to enhance efficiency and reduce travel time, fuel costs, and ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Enter and maintain trip data and routing details in the company’s database system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Assign drivers to routes and trips, ensuring adequate coverage and effective communication with drivers and dispatchers.
- Generate and review trip and routing reports for management, identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
- Coordinate with customers to invoice trips, track payments, and resolve inquiries or issues promptly.
- Handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll tasks related to charter and field trips.
- Develop and communicate routing plans and changes to stakeholders, including drivers, dispatchers, and customers.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as drafting reports, filing, and correspondence as needed.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in routing efficiency and customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level coursework preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer service environment or routing/transportation management.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and routing software tools.
- Ability to respond professionally to inquiries from customers and stakeholders
- Experience in route planning and optimization preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of the greater local area
