Position Description: Responsible for overall supervision and coordination of Maintenance employee activities related to the setup, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure safe operation of the plant.
Primary Responsibilities: Operational responsibility for supervising maintenance tasks and supporting plant operations:
- Oversee and guide maintenance personnel in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems and machinery to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program
- Monitor and assess the performance of systems and equipment, identifying issues, and working with the team to implement timely and effective solutions.
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with plant standards and safety regulations.
- Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols during maintenance work, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, repairs, installations, and employee training. Maintain regulatory compliance through proper record-keeping.
- Assist with the planning and supervision of capital projects, upgrades, and equipment installations. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and operations teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.

- Review each of the above as information made available (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). Develop action plans to improve moving forward
Key areas for backup:
- Regulatory compliance, records, reporting, and documentation (EPA, etc.)
- Building records, drawings, and documentation maintenance
- Equipment records, drawings, and documentation maintenance
- OEM and contractor contracts
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years total manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Self-motivated, works with a sense of urgency and purpose, able to balance priorities and function independently, well-organized and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally & written, with all levels of employees.
- Experience in process improvement programs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to change and support/lead manufacturing projects.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
