Position Description: Responsible for upholding the integrity of the manufacturing and facility equipment along with maintaining a professional environment within the department. The Maintenance department goals are to improve product output and quality to maintain a competitive edge in the industry with a safe and skillful approach.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Installation and repair of all machinery and building equipment
- Troubleshooting and technical skill requirements
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Welding
- Electrical (light)
- Pneumatic
- Power tool knowledge
- Hydraulic
- Fabricating
- Comprehension of multiple types of prints and schematics
- Preventative maintenance activities
- Equipment modifications and upgrades
- Spare part and supply inventories
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required. Certification in maintenance manufacturing is preferred.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years total industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with Packaging Equipment is a plus
- Self-motivated, works with a sense of urgency and purpose, able to balance priorities and function independently, well-organized and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally & written, with all levels of employees.
- Experience in process improvement programs preferred.
- Knowledge on changing over equipment to different product sizes
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
