Pay Range: $23.30-$28.65

The Zumiez Product & Brand Services team is responsible for 42 unique brands spanning various categories, including men's and women's apparel, accessories, and snow/skate hard goods.

Zumiez PBS Graphic Design Team is looking for a creative self-starter that plays a crucial role in supporting the Graphic Design team throughout the creative process. Our ideal candidate is an energetic team player who can follow creative direction, meet project timelines, and remain flexible, consistent, and detail-oriented while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Product & Brand Services Associate Graphic Designer is responsible for designing print and patterns for men's and women's apparel, miscellaneous accessories, skate hardgoods, and snow hardgoods for a defined number of Zumiez private labels and licensed brands. Also, responsible for supporting the Graphic Design team through the Creative Process and project responsibilities.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design compelling artwork, branding, and packaging per brand and direction
• Adheres to project deadlines, creative direction, and expectations assigned by the manager
• Complete projects independently based on creative direction
• Support with creative direction and design concepts for presentations and offer input during creative review meetings
• Supports Graphic Design owned projects
• Maintain and organize creative electronic files
• Knowledgeable of performance and department initiatives related to product development
• Research and identify print, pattern, branding, packaging, and apparel trends that support brand and customer.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and Product & Brand Services counterparts
• Support with various presentation documents, product line sheets, brand guidelines, and brand DNA documents
• Develop product tech packs, artwork/packaging specifications, and BOMs
• Review product samples and make comments to vendors based on specifications, and BOM
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years of experience in Graphic Design
• BA or equivalent course work in graphic design preferred
• Contribute to the Zumiez culture of empowerment, competition, teaching, learning, recognition, fairness, honesty, and fun
• Able to give, receive, and apply constructive criticism
• Ability to present design ideas professionally
• Project management and organizational skills
• Product print, pattern, packaging, apparel design experience
• Excellent hand-drawn and computer illustration skills
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with Procreate is a plus
• 2-3 years of experience working with an Apple workstation
• 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to adhere to established brand guidelines
• Remain detail-oriented while working in a fast-paced environment
• A balanced mix of creative and technical know-how
• Current with the fashion industry, trends, and brands relevant to the Zumiez brand

• Able to travel domestically and internationally for approximately 3-4 weeks each year

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to sit/stand in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods and work on a Mac or PC without limitations. Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect material on the product.
