What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphics Designer position at Zuni Sign Company?
Overview:
The primary responsibilities of the Graphic Designer is to work with customers and other team members gaining an understanding of the project needs, recommending the appropriate signage and providing standard pricing as well as interacting with customers during the approval ( proofing ) process. During this process the Graphic Designer is responsible for all design - related functions related to developing proof for approval and preparing files for production. The secondary responsibilities are to back up customer service as needed. These responsibilities may include preparing quotes, consulting with customers, answering the phone, taking payments ect.
Design Responsibilities:
Create detailed presentation drawings of general signage and digital print projects. Make required revisions to existing drawings ans specified by the client, salesperson or project manager. Convert presentation drawings into shop drawings after customer approval. Work with in-house project management admin to ensure all required project information and documentation is clearly provided on drawing sets. Work with sales and project management teams to ensure accurate drawings are produced. Resolve and design issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle.
Required Qualifications:
Proficient Adobe Creative Suite ( Specifically Illustrator and Photoshop )
Solid grasp of design mechanics
High attention to detail and accuracy
DEPENDABLE, SELF -MOTIVATED and ORGANIZED
Ability to provide customer solutions and meet deadlines
Excellent time management, organization and multitasking skills
Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner that promotes and professional atmosphere

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
