Role: Quality Assurance Engineer - Operations

Location: New York (04 days/ week onsite)

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for testing front end and back end of the applications supporting Markets business. It is hands on position, you will be required to provide test strategy, test estimation, write and execute test cases, build test automation where it is applicable. Additional responsibilities include work closely with the stakeholders, project manager, business analysts and the application developers, utilize functional documentation and technical specifications to facilitate the creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts, perform data analysis and creation of test data, track and help resolve defects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with various Broker/Dealer products securities processing including Equities and Fixed Income products.
• Experience with Broadridge application like Impact, BPS etc. is a must.
• 08 to 12 years of experience working in a role experience in delivering Operations related projects, familiarity with processes and controls
• Experience with Front office booking system like Bloomberg is preferred.
• Familiar with trade lifecycle from Front to Back Office.
• QA coordinator/Manager with proven track record of stakeholder engagement and management
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC (Agile and Waterfall)
• Hands on experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Execution and Defect Management
• Hands on experience in creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, functional testing, regression testing, data driven testing and meeting their SLAs
• Able to independently review and analyze business requirements; evaluate data sources, business rules etc...
• Strong understanding of SQL concepts must have experience in Oracle, SQL Server databases
• Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, TestNG etc
• "Go-getter" attitude

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred)
