Delivery Driver

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate delivery of products to Zurcher Tire, Inc. customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Safely operating a 16’-26’ Non-Class A CDL Box Truck
• Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes
• Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints
• Monitoring the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre - & Post - Trip Inspection checklist for each trip
• Maintaining safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards
• Interfacing with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Maintaining a good driving record and at least a Class C license or CDL.
• Register for CDL Clearing House.
• Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam
• Some distribution supply experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred. Data Entry Skills a plus
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workflow on a daily basis to accomplish required tasks.
• Ability to safely drive vehicles
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
• Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Also includes working outdoors in elements/weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
