Zurich is hiring a Claims Specialist I to join our dynamic Auto Claims Team. This role offers an incredible opportunity to grow your expertise by interpreting, investigating, and evaluating auto policies and coverage issues while mastering claims handling and industry best practices.

As a Claims Specialist, you will manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses, handling both comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage claims. You’ll take ownership of your assigned claims from start to finish, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you’ll build strong partnerships with customers and brokers, becoming an integral part of Zurich’s commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Candidates for this role should be able to report on a hybrid work schedule to one of our North American Claims office locations, including: Atlanta, GA; Addison, TX; Schaumburg, IL; Omaha, NE.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in Claims
    OR
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience in Claims
    OR
  • Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 1 years of experience in Claims
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (with an Associate Degree) and 2 years of experience in Claims Handling
  • Required adjuster licenses (must obtain and maintain)
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 4 years of experience handling auto property damage and comprehensive/collision claims
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry terminology
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. In compliance with local laws, Zurich commits to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range for each role. For more information about our Total Rewards, please click here. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed Salary range for this position is $48,600.00 - $79,500.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
