As a seasoned Market Facing Property & Casualty Underwriter, you will serve as a key customer advocate, improving their experience by understanding their risks and offering tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners and customers across industries.
- Leverage your underwriting expertise to assess risks, evaluate exposures, and generate profitable business.
- Collaborate across business units, including claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting.
- Empower clients through technical underwriting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
This role can be filled at either the Mid-Senior or Senior level, with the hiring manager determining the appropriate level based on the selected applicant's experience and skill set.
Mid-Senior Underwriter Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing.
- Or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
- Or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 1 year of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing.
- Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
Senior Underwriter Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing.
- Or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
- Or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 3 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience working on tight deadlines for quotes.
- Experience working in a team environment.
