Zurich seeks a Private/Non-Profit Management Liability Associate Underwriting Manager to join our Midwest team out of Minneapolis or Kansas City office.
This role involves underwriting and managing management liability risks for private and non-profit organizations, focusing on Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, and Crime insurance.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of management liability risks for private and non-profit businesses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies and initiatives.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities and work to expand Zurich's portfolio.
- Comply with underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules.
- Evaluate, develop, train, and coach underwriters.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area AND Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's Degree CPCU Advanced knowledge of product lines and insurance industry Excellent communication skills Excellent skills in relationship building Strong presentation skills Results oriented.
