At Zurich North America, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our Middle Market Pricing Team as an Assistant Vice President & Actuary. This is a hybrid role based at our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, but we will consider other locations for the ideal candidate.
In this critical role, you will provide pricing support and advice to relevant actuarial business partners, including insights into risks, underlying performance, and implications for the business. You will also assist in training less experienced personnel and work closely with Business Unit Leaders and Program Managers to identify opportunities for deep dive analyses that support Business Unit profitability and growth goals.

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to leverage various data sources to provide insights to the Business Unit on portfolio quality.

- Providing actuarial analysis to assist Business Unit Leaders with setting and executing strategic direction through processes such as the Country Underwriting Plan.
- Driving the design, testing, and maintenance of pricing models and tools.
- Supporting pricing and strategic decision-making for assigned programs, including interacting with Program Managers and Program Administrator actuaries.
- Developing detailed pricing analysis support, including the development of rates, rating plans/forms, reinsurance usage, and portfolio management strategies.
- Providing guidance and mentoring within the USMM BU's actuarial and data analytics team.

- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree OR Bachelor's Degree AND 8 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification.
- 13 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification.
