Sr. Linux Administrator with Top Secret Clearance
NOTE: This position REQUIRES an active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
Top Secret, SCI Eligible preferred.
We're looking for an outstanding Linux Administrator to join a top-notch group supporting world class science and technology at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). Zurka Interactive is expanding our team at NRL in Washington, D.C. You will be part of a team managing IT services on unclassified and classified networks for 5,000 users. You'll be working with a variety of technologies in a heterogeneous computing environment. This is a hybrid role with some days each week on site at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC.
We're looking for someone with 5 years of relevant experience and demonstrated skills in the following areas:
- Experience managing environments with 50 RHEL 7, 8 and 9 servers.
- Demonstrated experience with server configuration management (infrastructure automation) tools (i.e. - Ansible, Terraform, Kickstart)
- Experience supporting the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
- Experience applying DISA STIGs and STIF automation tools (Evaluation-STIG, STIGMAN, SCAP)
- Experience supporting enterprise server hardware (Dell preferred)
- Ability to write and modify existing scripts (bash, shell, Perl and/or Python)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (i.e. - Nagios, Zenoss, Splunk or others)
- Experience with VMware vSphere administration and server refreshes
In addition to the above, experience in several of the following areas is very desirable:
- AWS or Azure cloud environments (migration and support)
- Docker or Podman support and administration
- Kubernetes orchestration
- MySQL and/or Oracle database administration
- Apache Web Server
- Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switch configuration (OSI layer 2)
- Enterprise storage administration (FC, iSCSI, NAS)
Strong preference will be given to candidates who meet DoD 8570 requirements for an IAT III level position, including an active CASP or CISSP certification or equivalent.
