Job Description
The Corporate EHS Specialist supports the EHS department as we continue to strive towards environmental, health and safety excellence. Works within a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of reducing loss and liability throughout the company.
This position will be based in Milwaukee, WI and support corporate programs as outlined in Key Accountabilities. Travel is required to support EHS activities at sites and conduct corporate EHS audits.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the implementation and management of corporate EHS programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, etc.).
- Support EHS software systems and tools.
- Support environmental programs and tools to assist sites with identifying and managing environmental risk.
- Become an auditor of our Corporate EHS audit program designed to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support workers' compensation program, which includes monitoring claim levels, reviewing costs, and early return to work opportunities.
- Participate in incident investigation, helping prepare and maintain required reports. Identify countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence utilizing our 5 Why root cause analysis tools.
- Integrate and partner with the EHS team to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain, review, and report out on EHS team compliance with requirements of internal compliance calendar tasks and completion of identified audit recommendations.
- Periodically conduct EHS training.
- Ensure timely coordination of all regulatory or Company required testing and training, including industrial hygiene testing as assigned.
