Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Intern will have the opportunity to work on a rotational basis between various sub-teams to support the Zurn Elkay enterprise including : Client Services, Network / System, & Cybersecurity. Over the course of the Summer, you will have the ability to work cross-functionally with the different Infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to gain exposure to different areas within the IT function.
This position will be based in our Milwaukee, WI Headquarters.
Key Accountabilities :
- Client Services :
- Provide technical support to customers and end-users, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure that support, solution, and project actions or issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
- Research and test new hardware and software solutions to advance, for example, enterprise collaboration initiatives, end user device management and configuration, and system image / patch management
- Systems / Network / Voice Solutions :
- Learn and evaluate existing compute, storage, network, and voice systems; identify areas for improvement based current and emerging technologies, and contribute to configuring / deploying new solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security
- Monitor and analyze system and network performance, identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement; implement necessary measures to optimize system efficiency and reliability
- Cyber Security :
- Develop a process to upgrade or uninstall software on user PC's as part of the Zurn Elkay Vulnerability Management program
- Participate in incident response activities, including identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents (minor or major)
- Monitor security logs and alerts from various sources to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
