Job Description
We are seeking a warehouse lead with 5-7 years of lead experience. Our ideal candidate will be a hands on working lead who leads their team by example; Strong leadership, confident with an exceptional work ethic who can hit the ground running; MUST be able to lead their team and not afraid to hold team members accountable; has a passion for leading / training & development of team and the ability to maximize the strengths in your team on a consistent basis.
The Lead Hand is responsible for coordinating staff in their delegated department to ensure production requirements are met while ensuring quality standards are achieved.
Responsibilities :
- Directs and allocates operators to do daily / weekly tasks based on production schedule
- Ensures that employees work safely and that safety precautions are always taken
- Communicates with production Supervisor and other departments as necessary, to ensure that work requirements and priorities for each shift are achieved
- Track daily production KPI and ensure quality standards are being maintained
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with machinery / equipment / quality and production
- Uses Insight and JD Edwards software to determine production requirements, updates production information in JDE and understand all paperwork and documents
- Provides training to shop floor employees based on Standard Work Instruction
- Provides constructive feedback of issues and recommended solutions to resolve
- Provides effective leadership to employees by monitoring and assessing employee performance and providing feedback and coaching.
- Creates a positive working environment by driving empowerment, ensuring employees are motivated and engaged.
- Identifies training needs and ensures employees have an opportunity to develop and grow
- Other duties as required
