Position Summary
- Coordinate to ensure shipments are packaged and shipped ahead of due date
- Completing paperwork accurately: Bill of Lading, Customs Documentation, etc.
- Receives and inspects incoming shipments.
- Update shipping information in JD Edwards & reports
- Identify and communicate schedule and truck layouts for consolidated / large shipments
- Identify and communicate potential late orders daily
- Coordinate activities within the department
- Wrapping and crating completed orders
- Loading/ unloading trucks in a timely fashion
- Work safely and effectively
- Work with Supervisor to ensure orders ship on schedule
- Other duties as required
- Superior understanding of shipping practices and documentation
- Warehouse/ Shipping experience.
- Leadership skills, successfully directs and allocates all work within the department
- Through knowledge of packaging standards and works toward preventing freight damage
- Common sense, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
- Good attendance record; no culpable absences
- Forklift experience.
- Communicates well with supervisor
- Shows initiative and strong work ethic, desire to learn.
- Available for overtime to stay late for loading trucks when necessary.
