Job Description
The Senior Maintenance Tradesperson is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and production equipment, installs functional and structural parts within the facility. Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery. The individual will operate a wide variety of power, pneumatic and hand tools. Position reports to the Regional Service Center Facility Manager.
This position will be located in Fontana, CA.
Pay Range : $30.00 - $35.00
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for performing periodic preventative maintenance
- Assist with facility maintenance and repairs
- Maintains the lighting system. Replacing lamps, tubes, and bulbs as needed inside and outside the building
- Keeps an inventory of all filters, lamps, bulbs and other supplies. Places orders as required, or contacting a vendor if repairs are out of scope of work.
- Inspects and documents fire extinguisher and fire main system condition
- Maintains the oil / oily water waste system (if applicable)
- Assist in equipment and other maintenance repairs
- Keeps the Maintenance equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow all safety rules
- Punctual and reliable
- Work cooperatively in a group setting
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Single phase electrical installation
- Painting experience
- Ability to follow directions both written and verbal.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid California Drivers License preferred
- Ability to work with a dynamic environment with changing tasks and priorities
- Ability to work on elevated work (i.e., Ladder / Manlift)
- Act as a Liason between the site leader and Vendors
- Perform Site safety training to vendors working on-site
- Familiar with Pneumatic Air Systems
- Has experience with Racking installation, and inspection processes
- Familiar with general repairs for dock doors and levelers
- Ability to identify electrical systems
- Familiar with Lock Out Tag Out procedures
