Role responsibilities

In this role, you will be involved in projects that improve visibility of, and access to, our corporate data. You will specifically be involved in

• Transforming high level business requirements to prototype dashboards in Power BI, MS Excel, and other relevant tools
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify and document detailed requirements
• Performing data discovery activities
• Crafting comprehensive design documentation to effectively communicate design decisions and other implementation details
• Following architecture principles to ensure alignment with appropriate procedures and guidelines
• Develop validation models and design data structures to construct high-quality production-ready dashboards
• Perform peer review to ensure quality deliverables
• Follow required processes to deploy dashboard and associated artefacts to test and production environments as required

Minimum requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar (preferred)
• Exposure over the full life cycle and all aspects of data-related software development including:
  • MSSQL, SSIS, T-SQL, database schema design and advanced stored procedure knowledge (2 to 5 years)
  • Technical Power BI development and optimisation experience including DAX (2 to 5 years)
  • Good understanding of typical SSAS models and associated opportunities and constrains
  • Effective business analysis and process mapping
• Software project management in an agile environment
• Experience working with financial information along with a good understanding of its key concepts will be beneficial
