Role responsibilities

• Responsible for all design aspects within the municipal services – from conceptual to final design specific to civil infrastructure.   
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final tender documentation.
• Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with Zutari's quality control procedures.
• Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained, construction supervision, and deliver excellent client service

Minimum requirements

• Diploma, BTech/MTech, BSc / Beng or MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering
• Registered with ECSA as a Candidate (advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 to 8 years’ experience in earthworks and municipal infrastructure
• Design experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficient in Civil 3D
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
• Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills
• General understanding of BIM processes. Working knowledge will be advantageous
