Zutari, a leading infrastructure engineering consultancy, is seeking a Structural Modeller to join our bridge team in Cape Town. The successful incumbent will work with our engineering team to produce detailed design documentation for bridges and other civil structures on local and international projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with structural engineers to develop detailed documentation for bridges and other structural projects.
• Create and maintain AutoCAD / Revit drawings and details for structures / bridge projects.
• Ensure that the details developed are technically feasible.
• Produce accurate and complete construction documents that meet project requirements and standards.
• Review and check drafting work to ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation.
• Communicate with project team members to ensure effective project coordination.
• Follow company standards and procedures for quality control, documentation, and project management.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and technology advancements in Revit software and add on packages.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years Revit project experience in the structures / bridges industry using Revit daily to produce project deliverables.
• Technical diploma or formal drafting training will be advantageous.
• Extensive experience drafting reinforced concrete and structural steel work.
• Experience working with Autodesk Revit / AutoCAD to produce construction documentation.
• Structures drafting experience.
• Bridge experience will be advantageous.
• Experience working with Autodesk Civil 3D will be advantageous.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.
• Able to learn and to develop new skills and workflows for new digital tools.
• Ability to work on fast paced design and construct projects.
• Experience in reinforcement detailing will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of structures / bridge design and construction principles.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge and/or interest in building information modelling (BIM) would be advantageous.
