Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Flatware/Dishware Polisher to join our team at Experience Zuzu in downtown Detroit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all flatware, dishware, and serving utensils are impeccably cleaned, polished, and ready for use. This role is crucial in upholding the establishment’s reputation for excellence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly wash, dry, and polish flatware, dishware, and serving utensils.
• Inspect each item for cleanliness and polish to remove any spots, stains, or fingerprints.
• Sort and organize polished items in a manner that facilitates efficient setting of tables and serving of meals.
• Maintain the polishing equipment and materials, ensuring they are in good working order and adequately stocked.
• Work closely with the kitchen and dining room staff to ensure a sufficient supply of polished items throughout service hours.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines for handling and cleaning items.
• Report any damaged or worn items to management for repair or replacement.
• Assist in other areas of the kitchen or dining room as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Must be comfortable going up and down stairs throughout shift.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule.
