Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized eye care services to patients, diagnose eye conditions, and perform surgical procedures when necessary.
Duties
As a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions for your patients. As an independent contractor with Zybs, you apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. As a certified medical disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Valid state optometry license
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems
- Understanding of ophthalmology and pediatric optometry
- Ability to manage medical records and vital signs
- Customer service and sales experience in an optical setting
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $125.00 - $175.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
