Our client is seeking a forward-thinking, strategic and tactical technology leader to join their organization as their Next Generation Chief Information Officer (CIO). The organization is poised to double in size over the next five years and is eager to embrace IT as asset and financial driver behind this substantial expansion. The CIO will be a visionary in transforming the company’s current technologies by optimizing and implementing new solutions.
The CIO will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the full C-suite team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing, construction, industrial, engineering, or related industries and a proven ability to drive transformative IT initiatives in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Long-term IT Vision:
- Develop and maintain an IT/Enterprise Architecture that supports the company's revenue growth and market expansion.
- Lead the company’s technology vision for the next five years, ensuring the necessary infrastructure and systems are in place to support future growth and evolution.
Strategic IT Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of IT strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of information technology initiatives.
- Lead the evolution of IT services, systems, software, and products, ensuring their alignment with the company’s growth trajectory.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive innovation and integrate technology solutions to meet both internal and external business needs.
Technology Optimization:
- Evaluate, enhance, and evolve legacy systems, focusing on improving operational efficiencies and data management.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement technologies that support business expansion and enhance customer experience.
- Oversee the integration of current and future systems and software to ensure scalability and competitive advantage.
Product & System Development Enhancement:
- Direct the development and implementation of tools and technologies to enhance product offerings and service delivery.
- Ensure that technology architecture is aligned with product strategy and long-term business goals.
- Research new and emerging technologies and monitor their application within the business.
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of technology vendors, ensuring strategic alignment and cost-effectiveness.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and partners to maximize value and ensure the most effective use of external services/products.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement data models that support business operations and drive innovative services.
- Work across departments to ensure seamless technology integration and alignment with business needs.
- Act as a key member of the leadership team, advising on the strategic use of technology to enhance overall business performance.
Required Qualifications:
IMPORTANT Experience:
- Proven experience as a CIO, VP of IT, or similar leadership role, ideally within manufacturing, construction, industrial, engineering, or similar industries.
- At least 15-20 years of information systems leadership experience in a complex, growth company.
- Successfully led the strategic and tactical integration of the IT environment and team as a result of the need to implement and enhance current systems to the next level of capability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and evolve IT capabilities to meet business objectives.
Skills:
- Expertise in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, systems integration, and data management.
- Strong understanding of technology solutions that enhance customer experience, improve efficiencies, and support business growth.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive change.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and building strategic partnerships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Salary : $300,000 - $400,000
