POSITION SUMMARY The Manager of Ballpark Operations is responsible for daily upkeep of Greater Nevada Field and providing high level oversight on Game Days and Special Events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide stadium maintenance to include, but may not be limited to the following:
Responsible for daily upkeep of Greater Nevada Field, including equipment, and serve as Operations point person when the VP of Operations is not on-site
Serve as operational lead on non-baseball events at Greater Nevada Field, including managing 3rd party special event set up
Manage budgets for assigned departments
Manage 24/7 Security team
Responsible for hiring, day to day management, retention
Provide maintenance of video surveillance equipment
Review logs to solve issues
Oversee Ballpark Safety and incident report process
Manage and support Ballpark Operations Coordinator and Seasonal Gameday Assistant
Oversight of Parking and Traffic Operations, including hiring and training of seasonal staff
Assist VP of Operations in overseeing GNF’s Emergency Response Plan; including enforcing of policies, trainings, etc.
Work with local government and municipal agencies in adherence to rules and regulations of applicable codes and inspections.
Direct and coordinate outside vendor and subcontractors activity while on site
Work in Partnership with Facility Engineer and Facilities Manager on daily stadium repairs and together create a project list
Oversee pest control Lead game day/event set up and breakdown
Ballpark Signage – ordering, installation, and maintenance of signs throughout Greater Nevada Field
Lead phone system set up and tech support
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1-year work experience with a professional sports or entertainment organization preferred
Strong communication skills
Creative, energetic, and proactive mentality
Highly organized, quick learner, and ability to multitask to meet competing deadlines
Strong time management skills
Experience in handling customer and safety concerns
Forklift certification is a plus
Completion of a satisfactory background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
Ability to walk briskly or run as the position requires
