Position Summary
The contractor is responsible for administration of AMA-423 NAS Facility / Site Simulator Systems and accompanying Remote course Helpline instruction. This simulator is used as a training tool by students to simulate RMS systems which are monitored by NOCC, OCC, SOC and Work Centers (WC) specialists.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Maintain operation of RMS Simulator server hardware / software and the interfaces with RMLS, including routine cleanup and updating of simulator related RMLS system files. Research / follow RMLS procedures to resolve system issues.
• Maintain operation of RMLS applications (RMLS Peabody and RMLS MASS) in support of on-line lab functions for FAA45627001, RMLS Maintenance Automation System Software (MASS), and FAA45537001, RMLS Peabody, courses.
• Assign and distribute user IDs and passwords, maintain database of user IDs and passwords for learners registered in remote courses / eLMS courses.

• 2. Other courses which may be added to the NAS simulator.
• Monitor and maintain the Remote Course Helpline, a dedicated telephone helpline. Communicate with students via voice or e-mail to answer questions and provide instruction in completing course lab requirements, and verify completion of course lab requirements for remote courses / eLMS courses.
• a. FAA45627001, RMLS Maintenance Automation System Software (MASS), and
• b. Other courses which may be added to the NAS simulator.
• Coordinate above activities with corresponding FAA Course Coordinator.
• Assign and distribute user IDs and passwords, maintain database of user IDs and passwords for the RMLS connection between the AMA-423 RMLS system and the Academy RMS systems (i.e., CARSR, ARSR-4, 2nd Gen VORs, 3rd Gen VORs, ITWS, and Mode-S). The Academy instructors in each of the resident equipment courses will be able to teach the MASS application, which is used for remote maintenance monitoring. This includes creating Peabody user accounts on the operational Peabody system to support eTPR implementation into resident training, resetting passwords and assigning logging access.
• Monitors FDIO mailbox for emails containing students’ completed lab exercises. Reviews student answers to the lab questions and provides feedback to the student using instructor copy of course material

Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Shall have at least two (2) years of experience. Knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills and must be able to work independently or with limited direction
• Possess a Valid Drivers’ License without special restrictions.
